Rick Osborn

Rick Osborn was born in Sydney in 1943. He spent the majority of his working life in advertising, rising through the ranks to become GM and then MD of the Sydney office of the George Patterson advertising company.

Rick travelled the length and breadth of Australia and New Zealand while researching this book, and has narrowed his ultimate choice of retirement hotspots to two locations: Sydney (either the northern or eastern harbour suburbs) and Hervey Bay. The other locations that Rick could happily retire to are: Albany (WA), the Mornington Peninsula (Victoria), Adelaide’s Beach suburbs, Burleigh Heads (Queensland) and Bowral, Byron Bay, Coffs Harbour and Jervis Bay (all in NSW).
